Candid Pictures By Jared

While I was in Texas, my parents took us
to Posados to eat. While waiting for our
table Jared, my brother in-law, took over
my camera. And this is what I found.

Thanks Jared, for the magnificent pictures!

Heard Museum

While I was in Texas, Melissa, Jace and Dax took me to see
the Dinasours at the Heard Museum. We had a great time.

The boys thought the dinasours were neat, except when
they got close.

We also took a nature walk and found this neat
looking tree.

Thanks Bryson gang for taking me along!

Carving Pumkins

The other night we carved our pumpkins. Zach purchased

our pumpkins this year and this is what he came home with.

Aussie (with his bone) being a good sport helped Zach

clean the pumpkins.

The finished projects.

Have a great Halloween everyone!

Millcreek Canyon

The few nights ago Zach took Aussie and I up to Millcreek canyon
to grill us dinner. It was a little on the cool side (hence the
nerdy hat), but the fall leaves were fantastic!

I love this time of year.

New Car

This is our new vehicle. It is a 2008 RDX Acura.
We have had it for almost 2 weeks and Aussie is
enjoying his rides in the spacious back.
Side Note: I apologize to the fam for being slow on picture.

First Car

Today we sold my very first car I owned. It was
an "ice" blue 2000 VP Honda Civic. I am happy
to move on to something new, but I'm oddly sad to see
it go. It has been a great car and gave me no troubles
at all. I would recommend a Honda to anyone. No matter
what my brother-in-law(Jared) thinks.

A Different Route to S'mores

Today I saw a small clip of KSL's Studio 5 T.V. program. They showed different variations to your basic s'more. I thought it was a tasty idea and would share.

Family S'mores Bar:

Begin with the basics of:
Graham crackers, chocolate bars, and marshmallows

Substitute some of the following for your basic graham cracker:

Chocolate chip cookies
Chocolate peanut butter cookies
Fudge-dipped grahams
Fudge-striped shortbread cookies
Chocolate Macaroons

Then try these fun toppings on top of the toasted
marshmallow or marshmallow cream like.....

Chocolate covered raspberry or orange sticks
Reese's Peanut Butter cups
Chocolate covered peanuts
Cherry pie filling
Canned whipped cream
Caramel sauce
Coconut
Junior Caramels or Mints

I finally came out of the stone age with cameras and

be able to figure out how it works.
This is the one I got. Will see what I can do.

Spider Bite

I know this is gross, but my lovely sister Melissa wanted to know what
my spider bite looked like. I have had this on my leg for 2 weeks. I did see
a doctor, but he was not concerned. He told me I could take an antibiotic if
I felt the need.Well on Sunday I finally felt the need, and so far there
has been no change.
I personally think it is UGLY!

Pioneer Day

Happy 24th of July!
Today we got to celebrate Pioneer day.

What better activity, on a summer holiday, could there be than see a baseball game?We went to the game with Zach's family. I must admit, it was the perfect event.

Swimming with Dax and Jace

No better way to spend the hot days of Texas then
in the pool. I must admit, Jace know how to sport
those goggles.

One of the favorite things the boys liked to do in the pool
was to ride on my back while I swam under water.

It was good exercise for all of us!

Six Flags

My first time at Six Flags was a BLAST!
This little roller coaster in 1990 was the
tallest wooden roller coaster in the world at 143 feet.
All I can say is that it was one WILD ride!!

The day may have been on the hot side, but it was
worth it. I would definitely go back.

4th of July in Texas!

This year I got to spend the 4th of July with
my family in Texas. We had a lot of fun.
We kicked off the day with a great breakfast
and water fight at my parent's house.
Let's just say things did not stay pretty.

Then later in the evening we all went to the
Pizza Hut park to watch an FC Dallas soccer game.
Which included an excellent firework show at the end.

My sister is making me do this!!!

Well, I'm finally starting a blog, only because my sister is creating it for
me and holding my hand all the way. Don't expect too many posts from
me. Life is not all that exciting at the Roach motel. But, check back every
once an a while and you might be surprised.
